Being of small stature and in my body 44 years, I am all-too-familiar with the physical demands that the stress of life can have on our bodies. Rolfing is not designed to treat specific symptoms; however, once the body has more suppleness and inherent integrity, daily life improves. Even the most healthy individuals can develop habits which lead to chronic pain, mostly in their hands and wrists, forearms, neck and shoulders, and lower back. Structural Integration can help in a number of ways. Physical adaptations to living in an environment designed for one-size-fits-all, including having a voice, often leads to discomfort and imbalance, are normalized in a traditional ten series of Structural Integration.
